Every year in September we hold our exciting and popular, family music festival, known as Hatchfest. The festival site is in the beautiful Cheshire village of Mottram St Andrew, an area of outstanding beauty with rolling hills, forests and lakes making it an enviable setting for any live event. We continue to build on our success and with each passing year we attract more entertainers, more stalls and more festival goers coming to enjoy a great weekend. 2017 is already shaping up to be the biggest and best Hatchfest ever!
Hatchfest was created through its founder, Mark Hatch. Mark, a renowned musician, travelled the world in a band with his sister Karen. She was the lead vocalist and Mark was the drummer.
Tragedy struck the Hatch family in October 2014 when Karen learned that she had cancer. After a long and brave battle, Mark’s much loved and talented sister sadly passed away. Mark felt the loss profoundly and became driven to turn his sister's needless and premature death into something positive. In a flash of inspiration Mark decided there would be no better way to celebrate Karen's life than with a musical festival, with a focus on raising funds for charity – in September 2015, Hatchfest was born.
In Karen's memory, and for everyone who has been affected by cancer, Hatchfest 2017 would like to raise as much money as possible for The Christie Hospital and East Cheshire Hospice. Please help us make Hatchfest 2017 a huge success and support these amazing charities. Celebrate through local musical talent and fulfil Mark’s dream, get the dates in your diary and purchase your ticket to this wonderful, family oriented, feel-good music event.
